That letter was sent in early June, before the report of the missing 5 million barrels was released by Reuters.,"What do they have to hide?" McMorris Rodgers asked when speaking about the letter.,Instead of tapping the SPR, Republicans would prefer Biden authorize increased domestic production of oil.,"President Biden needs to remember that our strategic energy reserves are for emergencies, not to cover up bad policies. "Now is not the time to use our strategic stockpile.",The SPR is currently at its lowest level since December 1985.,“After multiple failed attempts to lower U.S. gas prices by robbing our emergency strategic petroleum reserve, will someone please inform the decision makers at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue that we have much larger and more strategic undeveloped energy resources that can be extracted, processed, and utilized cleaner and safer right here at home benefiting American workers and businesses?" At Thursday’s press conference, Jean-Pierre did not address the report but did she call Biden tapping the SPR “historic” and mentioned the administration’s call to issue a holiday on federal taxes on gasoline.。      8月25日，国务院新闻办公室在北京举行新闻发布会，商务部新闻发言人、副部长兼国际贸易谈判副代表凌激，福建省副省长赵增连，商务部外国投资管理司司长孟华婷，商务部投资促进事务局局长刘民强，厦门市副市长林志成介绍第二十六届中国国际投资贸易洽谈会有关情况，并答记者问。记者 李旭伦 摄　　北京8月25日电 题：深耕投资主题 第二十六届投洽会亮点前瞻　　记者黄韬铭、谢希瑶　　第二十六届中国国际投资贸易洽谈会将于9月8日至11日在福建省厦门市举行，目前各项筹备工作已基本就绪。国务院新闻办公室25日举行新闻发布会，介绍有关情况。　　投洽会以“扩大双向投资 共促全球发展”为永久主题。本届投洽会深耕投资主题，设置“投资中国”“中国投资”“国际投资”三大板块，规划设置了14个专业展区，专业化更加鲜明。　　“今年金融专区的面积和参展参会机构数量比去年都实现了翻番，参展的头部金融机构和上市公司达140家，将带来更多的投资和金融服务方案以及项目合作机遇。”商务部副部长兼国际贸易谈判副代表凌激说。　　凌激介绍，本届投洽会将举办跨国公司座谈会、跨国投资趋势发布会、产供链国际合作对接会等主题活动，为外资企业深耕中国市场和中国企业出海提供双向对接平台。此外，还首次安排广东和青海两省作为“双主宾省”，兼顾了东西部。各省（区、市）、计划单列市、新疆生产建设兵团均将参展参会，并举办双向投资推介和项目发布。

二 | 　　123个国家和地区的代表团报名参加，60个国家和地区设展；举办中美省州、中欧企业联盟成立5周年等专题经贸活动……本届投洽会的国际“朋友圈”更广。　　“本届投洽会首次设置了‘双主宾国’，由芬兰和沙特担任，这反映出投洽会的国际热度和双向投资的鲜明特征。”凌激说，尽管当前全球跨境投资的不稳定、不确定性上升，本届投洽会依然受到了国际社会的高度关注，境内外各界积极参与，有助于凝聚各方共识，推进务实合作。　　展馆升级扩容，大幅提升展览展示能级，将带来更多元的合作机遇。

三 | 　　“这次大会整体迁至厦门国际博览中心，由往届的12万平方米扩大到今年的20万平方米，全面展示新质生产力、‘丝路海运’、国际供应链等热点投资领域。”福建省副省长赵增连介绍，两岸融合发展专区也实现了面积上的翻番，进一步提质升级，集中展示半导体、金融服务、生物医药等领域的合作新成果。　　赵增连介绍，全省目前已经梳理招商项目828个，发布在“云上投洽会”以及福建投资促进网等平台，供境内外客商开展预对接、预洽谈，大会期间还将分批开展专题路演推介活动。　　“展洽一体”是投洽会的一大特色。
